19th North American Agroforestry Conference is scheduled for July 23–25, 2025, in Columbia, Missouri. This biennial event, organised by the Association for Temperate Agroforestry (AFTA), brings together a diverse community of agroforestry professionals from all over the world, including scientists, farmers, technical assistance providers, entrepreneurs, and innovators.
Conference Highlights include:
- Field Tours
Attendees will have the opportunity to visit the Horticulture & Agroforestry Research Farm (HARF) in New Franklin, MO, and the Baskett Research Forest in Ashland, MO. These tours will showcase experimental orchards, silvopasture systems, forest farming, and other agroforestry practices.
- Working Farms Visits
Explore innovative agroforestry implementations at Cedar Hill Farms in Napton, MO, and Rusted Plowshare Farm in Concordia, MO, where practitioners integrate chestnut orchards, silvopasture, and diversified perennial systems .
- Demonstration & Education Field Tour
Participants will have a chance to engage in presentations, organised sessions, posters, and lightning talks covering the latest research and practical applications in agroforestry.
- Networking Opportunities
Participants will receive an opportunity to connect with professionals, researchers, and practitioners to exchange knowledge and build partnerships aimed at promoting sustainable agroforestry practices.
