Designing your agroforestry system with the FarmTree Tool. A case study from the UK Living Lab

marzo 11 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm

online

Agroforestry is increasingly recognised as a viable strategy for sustainable land use, offering economic and environmental benefits. However, designing an effective agroforestry system requires a thorough understanding of species interactions, environmental conditions, and long-term impacts.

En FarmTree Tool provides a digital solution to support decision-making in agroforestry system design. In a new webinar, we will focus on its application within the ReForest project, specifically through a case study from the UK Living Lab. The session will highlight how the tool can be used to model agroforestry systems, integrate site-specific data, and generate impact projections.

Key webinar topics and themes include:
• An overview of the ReForest project and the role of Living Labs in agroforestry research (Prof Ing Martin Lukac PhD, ReForest project coordinator)
• Introduction to the UK Living Lab case study: objectives and methodologies (Will Simonson, ORC, UK Living Lab)
• Practical application of the FarmTree Tool: designing and analyzing agroforestry systems, including data calibration and impact assessment (Steffie Rijpkema, MSc – Coordinator Innovation Team at FarmTree)

The FarmTree Tool is fully accessible until March 15 — don’t miss this opportunity to explore its potential for your agroforestry system. During the webinar, we will answer your questions and guide you through its features.

Your feedback is invaluable! Please take a few minutes to complete this short survey and help us enhance the tool.
