ReForest 4th Project Meeting in the UK: Aligning Efforts for Lasting Impact

As the ReForest project enters its crucial final year, partners from across Europe came together in the UK for the 4th consortium meeting to intensify collaboration and prepare for the final stages of implementation. Held in a spirit of shared purpose and optimism, the meeting marked an important moment for strategic coordination and exchange.

With the goal of accelerating the adoption of agroforestry practices across Europe, the meeting focused on aligning the next steps and delivering tangible impact to farmers, landowners, policymakers, and other key stakeholders.

The consortium discussions centred on driving forward the core objectives of ReForest by:

  • Strengthening agroforestry communities through the established Living Labs and expanding participation at the local level.
  • Expanding and refining the ReForest Engagement Platform, which is a key digital resource supporting interaction, knowledge sharing, and access to tools.
  • Presenting results on AF system performance and analysing its productivity, profitability, carbon and biodiversity performance, as well as insights into institutional barriers and enabling policies.
  • Continuing the work on ReForest tools, including FarmTree, AF Map of Europe, Public Goods Tool, Carbon and Biodiversity Estimator, Dynamic management tool for AF systems at farm level.
  • Coordinating dissemination actions for maximum visibility and impact including webinars, workshops, policy briefs, and participation in high-level events  by the end of the project.

With renewed energy and a shared conviction, the ReForest consortium presses forward driven by the belief that agroforestry is not just a method, but a growing movement transforming landscapes across Europe.
