
ReForest to Take Centre Stage at the Agroforestry Show 2025

We are pleased to announce that the ReForest project will take a central stage at the Agroforestry Show 2025, that will take place on September 10–11, 2025, at Woodoaks Farm in Maple Cross, Hertfordshire, UK. This event brings together farmers, foresters, researchers, and land managers to explore the future of agroforestry in the UK and Europe.
Taking place at Woodoaks Farm in Hertfordshire, the two-day event will bring together farmers, advisors, researchers, foresters, land managers, and policymakers to explore agroforestry’s vital role in climate resilience, biodiversity enhancement, and sustainable food systems.
The Agroforestry show highlights include
- Workshops and Talks will enable participants to engage with experts through knowledge exchange sessions and inspiring discussions.
- Field Walks are an excellent way to explore agroforestry in action with guided tours showcasing practical implementations.
- Live Demonstrations are a way to witness equipment and techniques that support agroforestry practices.
- Exhibitions and Market Stalls are an excellent opportunity to discover products and services from a range of exhibitors.
- Design Clinics are a great way to receive personalized advice to support your agroforestry journey.
ReForest will contribute to both the Main Stage Programme and the Training Hub, offering in-depth sessions, interactive learning, tool demonstrations, and valuable networking opportunities. This event marks an important opportunity to present project results and achievements at a key stage in the project’s development. It will also help raise awareness among stakeholders, supporting the future exploitation and scaling of the ReForest outputs.
ReForest will contribute two key sessions to the main programme.
- Den Innovative Finance for Agroforestry session will explore financing mechanisms that support agroforestry adoption, featuring the FarmTree model developed within ReForest and showcasing the close collaboration with DeepRoots.
- A second session on Agroforestry Case Studies Across Europe will highlight practical examples and insights from a range of European contexts, illustrating the environmental, economic, and social benefits of agroforestry systems. Several of these case studies will feature ReForest’s direct involvement and leadership.
A Training Hub
Organised in collaboration with DigitAF, the Organic Research Centre (ORC), and Agricology, the Training Hub is designed to support new adopters of agroforestry through focused, practical learning opportunities. Hosted in the Barn, ReForest’s contributions include a diverse mix of sessions, demonstrations, and networking opportunities.

- Agroforestry and public goods: carbon, biodiversity
- Life cycle assessments of agroforestry and orchards

- Introduction to hedges and shelterbelts
- Introduction to tree fodder
- Farmer case study: James Bucher
- Building agroforestry designs with LandApp
- How to prepare a PA4 agroforestry plan

ReForest will also provide hands-on access to tools and platforms, along with expert support to answer questions and facilitate practical use:

Workshops and Interactive Sessions
In addition, ReForest will lead engaging sessions including a co-design workshop delivered by the UK Living Lab, a soil health and carbon assessment demo in collaboration with DigitAF, and will host informal meetups and discussions in a dedicated breakout space.
