SUMMARY:ReForest at the 3rd European Carbon Farming Summit
DESCRIPTION:ReForest is pleased to announce its participation in the 3rd European Carbon Farming Summit\, Europe’s leading event focused on advancing regenerative agriculture and low-carbon farming solutions. The project will be presented with a poster on “Carbon farming practices in Poland” prepared by our colleagues from Polish Agroforestry Association (OSA). The poster will present information about agroforestry practices in Poland which is related to Reforest project activities. \nBuilding on the success of the 2025 edition held in Dublin\, where ReForest also took part\, the 2026 summit will take place from 17 to 19 March in Padua\, Italy. The 3rd Summit programme emphasises collaboration and dialogue to support robust climate action in farming. The summit offers a crucial space to discuss carbon farming implementation\, ensuring environmental integrity while scaling up impact. \nParticipants will: \n\nExplore the latest innovations in carbon farming and soil health\nConnect with a diverse network of practitioners\, scientists\, and policymakers\nDiscover practical strategies for implementing regenerative agricultural practices\nExamine how agroforestry systems can play a key role in climate resilience and carbon sequestration\n\nWe look forward to engaging with fellow participants in Padua and contributing to the collective advancement of carbon farming and agroforestry in Europe.

SUMMARY:ReForest joins the dialogue at the “How can the Nature-Based Solutions approach help build sustainable food systems?” event in Brussels
DESCRIPTION:On 18 March 2026\, the ReForest will participate in the event “How can the Nature-Based Solutions approach help build sustainable food systems?” in Brussels. The event will explore how the Nature-Based Solutions (NbS) approach can contribute to building more resilient\, sustainable\, and climate-friendly food systems across Europe. \nOrganised by the Institute for European Environmental Policy\, the event will bring together EU policymakers\, researchers\, EU-funded projects\, and stakeholders from farming and forestry organisations\, agri-food businesses\, and environmental NGOs. Participants will exchange experiences and discuss how nature-based solutions can help transform agricultural systems while delivering environmental and societal benefits. \nNature-based solutions are increasingly recognised as a key approach for addressing interconnected challenges such as climate change\, biodiversity loss\, and food system sustainability. Agroforestry\, which integrates trees into agricultural landscapes\, is one of the most promising NbS for farming systems. \nDuring the session dedicated to measuring and demonstrating public benefits\, the ReForest project will present its Public Goods Tool together with its financial scheme for agroforestry. Through its participation in this event\, the ReForest project will contribute to ongoing discussions on how assessment tools\, financing mechanisms\, and policy frameworks can accelerate the transition towards more resilient agricultural systems. \nThe event will also provide an opportunity for participants to exchange best practices and experiences from research projects\, policy initiatives\, and practical applications of nature-based solutions in agriculture.
