Ved at anvende b\u00e6redygtige jordforvaltningsteknikker som f.eks. skovlandbrug, d\u00e6krodsplanter, pl\u00f8jefri dyrkning og forbedret gr\u00e6sning reducerer kulstoflandbrug drivhusgasudledningen fra landbruget og fjerner CO\u2082 fra atmosf\u00e6ren. Denne tilgang bidrager til at afb\u00f8de klimaforandringer og giver l\u00f8fte om diversificering af landbrugsindkomsten gennem kulstofkreditter og betalinger for \u00f8kosystemtjenester.\n  \n  Det kr\u00e6ver innovation at udnytte potentialet i kulstoflandbrug i EU, og skovlandbrug er en s\u00e6rlig levedygtig og skalerbar l\u00f8sning. I takt med at EU fremskynder sin indsats for at opn\u00e5 klimaneutralitet inden 2050, har kulstoflandbrug vist sig at v\u00e6re en lovende strategi til at forbedre kulstofbindingen i jorden og samtidig st\u00f8tte b\u00e6redygtigt landbrug. Agroforestry integrerer tr\u00e6er og buske med afgr\u00f8der eller husdyr, hvilket giver mulighed for at forts\u00e6tte med at producere f\u00f8devarer og fange atmosf\u00e6risk CO\u2082 og lagre det i tr\u00e6biomasse og jord. Disse systemer forbedrer jordens sundhed, reducerer erosion, \u00f8ger biodiversiteten og styrker g\u00e5rdens modstandsdygtighed over for ekstreme vejrbegivenheder. I mods\u00e6tning til konventionelle monokulturer diversificerer agroforestry indkomstkilderne gennem t\u00f8mmer, frugt, n\u00f8dder og andre produkter og tjenester end tr\u00e6, hvilket reducerer den \u00f8konomiske risiko for landm\u00e6ndene.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For eksempel anerkender EU's Green Deal eller Englands Sustainable Land Management scheme skovlandbrug som en n\u00f8glekomponent i b\u00e6redygtig f\u00f8devareproduktion. Derudover er frivillige kulstofmarkeder ved at opst\u00e5 som en potentiel indt\u00e6gtsstr\u00f8m for landm\u00e6nd, der anvender skovlandbrug, s\u00e5 de kan tjene penge p\u00e5 det kulstof, der er bundet i deres tr\u00e6er og jord. Men p\u00e5 trods af sit potentiale st\u00e5r skovlandbrug over for udfordringer som f.eks. indledende investeringsomkostninger, lange tilbagebetalingsperioder og kompleksiteten i at m\u00e5le og verificere kulstofbinding. For at \u00f8ge udbredelsen skal vi styrke de \u00f8konomiske incitamenter, give klare metoder til kulstofkreditter og tilbyde teknisk st\u00f8tte til landm\u00e6ndene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Igangv\u00e6rende forskning i agroforestry hj\u00e6lper med at forfine bedste praksis, forbedre m\u00e5linger af kulstofbinding og udvikle regionsspecifikke retningslinjer for implementering. Projekter som ReForest og DigitAF fokuserer p\u00e5 at optimere kombinationer af tr\u00e6er og afgr\u00f8der, forst\u00e5 dynamikken i jordbundens sundhed og evaluere de langsigtede \u00f8konomiske fordele for landm\u00e6ndene. Forskere unders\u00f8ger ogs\u00e5 avancerede telem\u00e5lingsteknikker og AI-drevne overv\u00e5gningsteknikker for at forbedre n\u00f8jagtigheden af kulstofregnskabet. Samarbejdsinitiativer mellem universiteter, forskningsinstitutioner og politiske beslutningstagere har til form\u00e5l at skabe evidensbaserede strategier, der sikrer agroforestry's skalerbarhed og effektivitet.
